"I was a police officer with the City of Atlanta Police Department from 1996 to 2002, working the patrol division, then crime suppression, then in a plain clothes capacity. Wanting to experience a different side of law, I began defending insurance carriers and employers in workers compensation actions, then a chain of grocery stores in premise liability actions. Ultimately, I began practicing exclusively in the areas of criminal defense and family law; however, having practiced insurance defense law for several years, I can provide guidance and referrals for individuals injured at work or who are victims of the negligence of others.
Leaving a 20 plus attorney firm to working as a sole practitioner has provided me with a new perspective and breathed new life into me. After 10 years in practice, I truly now feel like a lawyer fighting for the rights of others."
My office is based out of Gwinnett County in the heart of Buford. Located within 15 minutes from the Gwinnett County Courthouse, I handle felonies, misdemeanors, traffic tickets, and family law matters in Gwinnett, Hall, and Barrow Counties. Additionally, Mike represents clients in all of the Gwinnett city courts, including the Municipal Courts of Lawrenceville, Snellville, Duluth, Suwanee, Norcross, Lilburn, and Braselton.
